Nice work Matthew.

The narrative that we don’t fund education well enough is shattered: https://www.lianeon.org/p/the-tuition-treadmill, and higher education is increasingly becoming a wasteful credential arms race that doesn’t benefit anyone.

Just musing here….but if we see human progress as a function of energy and knowledge capture, then the government certainly has a role to play in fostering the discovery and dissemination of ideas.

Reasoning from first principles, we don’t need traditional schools at all, we merely need a knowledge exchange mechanism. I believe the government should provide education vouchers to all young people (and perhaps everyone).

Beyond that, the method of education should be left free and open to innovation. Should every student be provided a voucher, they will flock to whatever system or method proves most effective for them. Let the schools and the students develop the learning plans, with the government's role limited to ensuring basic numeracy and literacy.

Perhaps the future isn’t “schools at all” but a combination of government-subsidized learning centers that exist both online and in physical locations, taking the place of research labs, universities, schools, and libraries.

Thank you JK! School vouchers is a great idea to be able to use them in any way you see for. Education has been hijackered by regulatory capture in the form of the teachers union and federal beueucracy that works for no one

Very enlightening view of our educational system in this country. A sad testament to what is happening, & what we could and should be going better. One of among many of our other systems & programs that are broken in this this country! :(

1 in 5 American students think the Holocaust is a myth. The system has failed. Luckily, the future has never been brighter!

Dug this one up. This is great work. I wonder how could we do something like this or have features of this in the public school system? I feel like the only way to get features of this is in your home life. It's up to parents. Teachers should encourage it and parents should provide opportunities for students to expand their learning opportunities.

100% I think it starts with school choice and charter schools and eventually the regulatory capture of the teachers union will loosen
