Talking of Daana l would want to read more about it and the technology they are developing, it seems to be revolutionary. The space industry seems to be evolving with time and l think with spaceships like Radian one this brings us to a new era of space technology lets see how this goes. This was an interesting article to read, well researched and written. Great insights man
Thanks JK! I like the Kardashev Scale as a way to measure things on the civilization level. As you can see from the chart, there’s no such thing as a low energy, wealthy country.
Metrics like GDP can be skewed in places like Cayman Islands which contributes little to civilization but is high growth because of its status as a tax haven
I think it just depends on what you’re trying to measure, and the Kardashev Scale is an interesting way to measure civilizations without political bias or proxy metrics
It just might be accepted my a few more, only if we take the risk of authoring it for the progress of all humanity just like the crazy dream of Carl Sagan, Kardashev and many others to make humanity a type 1 civilization. Look at the enormous progress such risk takers have inspired.
Very interesting article. The wireless transfer of power article is interesting. It was what Tesla was devoting too much time to with technologies at his time that didn’t work very well or efficiently. Have to see what is “new”

Nice piece here Matthew Harris.
I have not personally bought into the Kardashev Scale. Is this scale universally recognized?
I have been considering writing something about it for Risk & Progress.

It's upto us.
Completely agree, up to us!

Looks like it’s a 3-1 chip but they’re still having issues transmitting wirelessly. So the Tesla hypothesis still eludes us!
I have to come back later to go through the article just passing along.
Hahah will do MacDaniel we’ll discuss after you have a moment to digest it
Great spotlight
Thanks Molly!
